Honda 0 α (Alpha) EV Unveiled

Honda has revealed the much-awaited 0 α (Alpha) EV prototype at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show. The electric SUV is confirmed for launch in India and Japan by 2027, marking a major milestone in Honda’s global EV lineup.

The Alpha is part of Honda’s new 0 Series, which also includes the 0 Saloon and 0 SUV shown earlier at CES 2025. Positioned as the entry model, it blends urban practicality with outdoor readiness, showing Honda’s vision for future mobility.

Honda says the 0 Series follows its new design idea—“Thin, Light, and Wise.” This approach focuses on:

  • Slim and Lightweight Build: The SUV uses a thinner body structure to offer a spacious cabin without adding bulk.
  • Smarter Systems: Expect advanced driving and energy management systems for higher efficiency and comfort.

Design-wise, the Alpha gets a low, wide stance with clean lines and strong wheel arches. Up front, it features a glowing Honda logo, illuminated headlights, and a sleek charging port cover integrated into a digital panel. The rear has a full-width U-shaped LED light bar that connects the tail lamps, indicators, and reverse lights in one frame.

Honda is expected to offer two battery pack options, with a claimed range of over 500 km per charge, positioning it competitively in the midsize electric SUV space.

The production version will roll out globally by 2027, starting with India and Japan. Once launched, it will take on rivals with its futuristic design, strong range, and practical performance.
