Royal Enfield Expands 650cc Segment with Bullet 650
Royal Enfield has added a new model to its popular 650cc motorcycle range in India—the Bullet 650, now available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.65 lakh. This new launch furthers the brand's selection of parallel-twin motorcycles.
Engine and Performance
The Bullet 650 draws power from a 648cc parallel-twin engine, which generates 47 PS and 52.3Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox, featuring fuel injection and a wet multi-plate clutch. The motorcycle utilizes Royal Enfield's SOHC, inline twin-cylinder, 4-stroke technology, delivering 34.6kW (47 PS) at 7,250rpm and 52.3Nm at 5,650rpm.
Design Elements Inspired by Tradition
While the Bullet 650 shares its platform with the Classic 650 Twin, its design pays homage to the traditional Bullet series. Key highlights include hand-painted pinstripes, distinctive metal tank badging, a single-piece stepped seat tailored for enhanced pillion comfort, and a squared rear fender. It also sports a chrome headlamp nacelle and tail-light assembly.
Ride and Handling
Constructed on a steel tubular spine frame, the Bullet 650 features 43mm telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The suspension setup offers 120mm travel in the front and 90mm at the back. Braking is managed with a 320mm front disc and a 300mm rear disc, complemented by dual-channel ABS for added safety.
Dimensions and Features
The Bullet 650 measures 2,260mm in length, 830mm in width, and 1,155mm in height, with a wheelbase stretching 1,480mm and ground clearance of 154mm. The seat height comes in at 800mm and the kerb weight is noted at 243kg. It is equipped with a 14.8-litre fuel tank.
