Now, the South Korean automaker is gearing up for the next chapter with the second-generation Seltos, recently spotted testing in India. With a global debut expected in early 2026 and an India launch likely by March, the new Seltos is shaping up to be a bold evolution of its predecessor. The test mule, seen cruising around Noida, was heavily camouflaged but revealed exciting design updates. Kia is embracing its ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, which we’ve seen in recent models like the EV9 and Syros. The front fascia is where the action is, with slim, vertical LED daytime running lights (DRLs) framing sharp new headlamps. The grille is larger and more upright, drawing inspiration from Kia’s flagship Telluride SUV, giving the Seltos a commanding road presence.
What’s New in Design and Features?
While the camouflage hides some details, the spied Seltos hints at a boxier, more rugged silhouette compared to the current model’s rounded lines. The rear features a sleek LED light strip connecting the tail-lamps, a design cue borrowed from the Kia EV5, blending electric and traditional aesthetics. The SUV is expected to ride on 18-inch alloy wheels, matching the top-spec trims of the current Seltos, and may sport new dual-tone upholstery with premium touches like orange accents.
Inside, Kia is likely to overhaul the cabin for a more premium feel.
